Milton, GA Patient has Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty*

Procedure Details

This patient in his late-teens came to the office to discuss Nose Surgery with Dr. Connors. He had breathing concerns and felt as though breathing out of his right nostril was more difficult than breathing out of his left nostril. Aesthetically, he was concerned with the length of his nose along with a prominent dorsal hump. Upon examination, Dr. Connors found that the patient had a left nasal deviation, contributing to his difficulty breathing. In order to address both the breathing concerns as well as the cosmetic concerns, Dr. Connors used an Open Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty technique. He was able to straighten and the patient's septum and open and stabilize the patient's airways for improved breathing. He was also able to decrease the projection of the patient's nose, reduce the dorsal hump, and narrow and contour the tip of the nose. Postoperatively, the patient has had significant improvements in his breathing, while both resting and active. He is also very pleased with the cosmetic changes, feeling as though his nose is now straight and more symmetrical with the projection of his chin.
