This patient in her late-forties came to the office to discuss a Breast Reduction procedure with Dr. Connors. For years, the patient had concerns with the size of her breasts. On a daily basis she was experiencing back, neck, and shoulder pain, along with shoulder grooving from her bra straps. She also suffered from rashes and chaffing underneath her breasts. Aside from the physical concerns, finding properly fitting undergarments and clothing was very difficult. Pre-operatively she was an H-Cup and desired to be a D-Cup. During surgery, Dr. Connors made an anchor incision (around the areola, vertically down the breasts, and at the fold) and removed the appropriate amount of breast tissue that would give the patient her desired size and symmetry. Dr. Connors also lifted the breasts and reduced the size of the patient's areola in order for them to be in proportion with her smaller breasts. Post-surgery, the patient is no longer experiencing daily pain, chaffing, and rashes. Shopping for undergarments and clothing is now much easier than prior to surgery. The patient is so excited and loves her results. Above all, she is ecstatic that she is not longer in pain on an every day basis!
