This mother of four (including a set of twins!) came to the office to discuss an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) with Dr. Connors. After her pregnancies, she felt as though she had some loose, excess skin on her abdomen. She also felt like her abdomen looked "full" or distended. At her consultation appointment, Dr. Connors recommended an Abdominoplasty in order to address her concerns. During surgery, Dr. Connors made an incision at the supra-pubic region from hipbone to hipbone. From there, he repaired the patient's abdominal muscles that had separated (Diastasis Recti) during her pregnancies.
*Diastasis very commonly occurs during pregnancy and is the cause of the distended look of the abdomen post-children*
Dr. Connors then pulled the patient's skin taught on her abdomen and created a new space for her belly button. The patient is so excited about her results. She loves her tight, flat abdomen!
