Sculptra Aesthetic is one of Dr. Connors’ favorite injectable products and uses it to perform a liquid facelift. Sculptra helps to increase skin thickness and creates a more natural facial appearance for those with facial lipoatrophy. It is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic, biocompatible material that does not harm the body. It is also a favorite of celebrities, as well as those who have previously used shorter-term fillers. Sculptra is unique in that its effects can be long-lasting; they were shown in a clinical study to last for up to 2 years after the first treatment session. Results are natural-looking and appear gradually over a few weeks time.
"Dr. Connors and his staff are some of the most wonderful people I have met since moving to Atlanta. They truly care about you-how you feel, that you are happy with results, really they treat you like family. If anyone is considering plastic surgery, Dr. Connors is a must, he will make you perfect!"- K.E. / Yelp / Aug 28, 2015
"From the beautiful and elegant décor to the beautiful and talented staff it always feels like I am with family. They are well trained in their particular disciplines and make every effort to make you comfortable and happy. The atmosphere is one of quiet confidence. I am always reassured that there could be no office of professionals that I would trust more with my aesthetic wants and needs. I travel from Central Florida to have any treatments at Dr. Connors office. They have earned my trust as well as my respect. The compliments I receive on my skin are the result of years of practiced skill by the staff. I will go no where else. thank you all. Pam Pursell"- P.R. / Facebook / Feb 20, 2019
"Great experience!"- J.L. / Google / Feb 19, 2019
"About 5 months ago I came into Dr. Connors office and met with his injector Maggie. I came into the office looking to address smile lines that were bothering me. Maggie informed me that the best way to address the lines I was worried about would be to inject filler in my cheeks and along the jaw line. At first I was a little hesitant about getting filler in my cheeks in fear of it looking a bit too feminine, however, Maggie reassured me it wouldn't and what a difference it made! The smile lines are gone and my face has a much more structured appearance. You've got a patient for life!"- S.M. / Yelp / Jan 02, 2019
"The procedure I finally got was 3 years in the works of planning, budgeting, meeting with multiple doctors and staff members. After I met with Dr. Connor and his staff, i knew I was 100%. Up until then there was something missing. Very calming and caring. Very well trained."- J.L. / Yelp / Nov 26, 2018
Sculptra is administered during an in-office appointment that typically takes about 30 minutes. The injection treatment, including the dosage and injection location, is tailored during the procedure to fulfill the patient’s specific needs. The injection is given through a syringe to localized areas on the face. Patients will feel a small prick as the needle inserts through the skin, but any pain or discomfort can be controlled with a topical anesthetic or numbing injection if desired. For the greatest results, the average patient is recommended to have 2-3 injections over a few months.
What To Expect
Immediately following a Sculptra injection, there will be some mild swelling and redness at the injection site. This will subside a few hours after the procedure. Patients can resume their normal activities immediately, but exercise should be avoided for a few hours. After the injection, an easy after care procedure helps to ensure lasting effects. Results following Sculptra will become apparent gradually during the weeks after the procedure. The result is that the surface of the skin will appear younger and restored.
Sculptra™ treatment will vary in cost depending upon how much of the medication is used and the depth of the desired results. The usual cost for each Sculptra™ treatment typically ranges between $700-$1000. For maximum effects, 2-3 treatments are recommended.

Is it Safe?
Sculptra is approved by the FDA and has a long history of safety worldwide since 1999. Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid that the human body naturally produces and has been used for general sutures for many years. Reported side effects include subtle pain, bruising, swelling or redness, bruising, and a few others. Bumps have sometimes occurred as noticeable when applying pressure to the injected area. Please consult our team if any of these side effects concern you.
Botox or Filler?
Sculptra is the only filler that produces long-term gradual results. Injectable fillers help to decrease wrinkles by adding volume to certain facial structures, which creates a smooth result on the surface of the skin. BOTOX, which temporarily freezes the underlying muscle, may offer a result that looks similar, but the approach is different. A skilled practitioner will be able to determine which procedure would garner the best results.
Individuals who wish to soften and decrease facial lines and wrinkles gradually may be candidates for Sculptra. The most common age to receive Sculptra® injections is between ages 30-55, however it is also common for patients who are younger and older than this range to receive injections.
Sculptra is different from other fillers because the results usually last up to 2 years. Sculptra is the only long lasting filler to improving the shape and look of the face, and the results appear gradually without a dramatic immediate change.
Where Do I Get Injected?
Sculptra is injected directly into the face, and helps restore chin wrinkles, lines surrounding the mouth, and the deep lines between the nose and mouth.
